Bailey Employment Services are looking for an experienced Compliance Auditor for our client in Caistor, Market Rasen in a full time permanent position following a successful trial period.

Successful applicants will be experienced in working in a changing and challenging, food manufacturing environment with a good knowledge of introducing Lean Techniques.

  • Salary: £13.50 / hour
  • Expected working hours are Monday to Friday 13:30 - 22:30
  • Permanent position following a successful trial period

The main purpose of the role is to ensure we actively challenge food safety, legality and quality across all departments. Flexibility and the ability to engage, support and work cross functionally with other departments is essential.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Comply with all Health and Safety Regulations
  • Adopt a firm Food Safety Culture
  • Support all aspects of the intake of raw materials on site and ensure all raw materials and packaging is released into the business following a detailed intake procedure against specification
  • Follow up all corrective actions raised internally or externally
  • Drive food safety, legality and quality systems improvements (HACCP, traceability, supplier control)
  • Pro-active auditing throughout the site with label verification. Audit production paperwork against specification and raise corrective action with Technical and Production managers should non-conformances arise to ensure we comply with food safety / HACCP requirements to comply with food safety / HACCP requirements
  • Driving quality, food safety and hygiene improvements via auditing i.e. GMP and Glass and Plastic audits and carry out food safety inspections and provide technical advice
  • Carry out routine auditor activities (e.g. scale and probe calibration, fry oil testing, personnel audits, inputting of check weigh and metal detection programmes for new product, hand swabbing, water and ice sampling, finished product sample retention)
  • Provide finished product samples for microbiological testing and submit into laboratory using online submission
  • Prepare and carry out daily taste panels and end of life sampling, logging all information as required, raising actions of non-conforming back to relevant departments
